Hey Bass Kings! Still going strong at Diamond Valley Lake. 3 clients the other day at Diamond Valley Lake. Nick and Stacy on
vacation with family were really anxious to get “the ol man” out on the water and catch a bass.
We have been catching over 20 fish each time out lately and always fish over 4lbs. Today was no different. Early we fished senkos along step banks and caught one after another throwin at all the bushes. We did catch 1 good one on a CL8 swimbait.
As the day went on we would switch between the senko and drop shoting the small 4in fluttercraft worm. All our fish came shallow from 3-12 ft of water. Many of the bass are done spawning and they are in the bushes protecting fry or waiting to ambush baitfish. Pitching a senko to the bushes is deadly and sure to catch em.
We had a great time and I can’t wait to go back.
